Wednesday, reports confirmed that Musk's firm set up solar panels and energy storage batteries at Hospital del Nino, a children's hospital in San Juan. In today's healthcare environment, a positive patient experience is central in providing excellent patient care.

Tesla has also delayed an event to show off its electric semi truck, pushing the reveal back until next month while it focuses on restoring power in Puerto Rico. Glad to help support the recovery.

Entrepreneur Elon Musk, best known as the CEO of companies such as Tesla Inc. and SpaceX, has kept on with his promise of boosting power resources in Puerto Rica after it was hit by two powerful and devastating hurricanes in the month of September this year. The hospital has 35 permanent patients with chronic diseases and also offers services to almost 3,000 children, mentioned El Nuevo Dia - Puerto Rico's newspaper with the highest circulation. The American automaker and energy storage company have previously installed power grid systems on Ta'u in American Samoa, Kauai in Hawaii but not large as Puerto Rico.

Tesla is certainly not the only company working on the island.

As part of his efforts, Musk has also reportedly donated $250,000 of his own money to support humanitarian efforts in Puerto Rico, where many people continue to remain without electricity. The Secretary comments on the $36.5 billion relief bill passed by Congress for the hurricane and wildfire destruction throughout the US, noting that it's of utmost importance for Puerto Rico to restore its electric grid in a way that is sustainable for the long term. Tesla said its hospital solar-plus-storage project is the "first of many".

Meanwhile the tiny Trump-linked energy contractor that won a $300-million no-bid contract to rebuild the grid, Whitefish Energy, is also under fire.
