Cooler temperatures on the way

Today's weather outlook

Today's weather outlook

However, a weak cold front will begin pushing into the state Wednesday afternoon, marking the "beginning of the end" of our streak of mild weather.

Wednesday will be breezy and mild with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Tonight, we will have clear skies with no chance of rain. Temperatures will be a bit cooler than Wednesday, but most communities should reach the low 60s. We think south winds will prevail for most of the weekend with Saturday morning lows in the lower 40s and highs in the lower 60s.

FRIDAY: We'll finish the work week with more sunshine and warmer temperatures. A cold front will be passing through later on in the morning, which will slightly decrease temperatures. Temperatures continue climbing early next week with high pressure keeping us dry and sunny Monday.

A cold front raced through the area this morning. It is looking like a good weekend to get those Christmas lights hung. We're expecting light, spotty showers to persist throughout the day along with mostly cloudy skies and winds from the southeast.

Skies will stay clear through the evening, but cloud cover eventually wins out overnight.

The chance of rain tapers off in the afternoon, but wind gusts of 30 to 50 miles per hour are possible across much of the area through early evening. Clouds return and build through the afternoon Thursday. High temperatures for this first day of December will be seasonable (near-normal), again in the neighborhood of 50 degrees.
