We may be seeing new signing Philippe Coutinho holding a cup of mate soon enough, with the playmaker securing his much-anticipated move to the Nou Camp.

Coutinho showed at Liverpool that he can play anywhere in the midfield: in a more attacking role, as a wide player in a four-man line, or deeper to help start the attack.

Coutinho later spoke of his excitement to to play alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, who he has previously played with at Liverpool.

And ahead of his move, Coutinho revealed what Neymar told him about the Catalan club.

"We nearly won the Premier League together at Liverpool [in 2014], it was a great time".

Valverde will have to use different lineups regardless, because Coutinho will be limited to playing in the Spanish league, which Barcelona leads, and the Copa del Rey for the remainder of this season since he can not play for another team in the Champions League after participating in the group phase with Liverpool.

And Suarez's strike was also a milestone goal, a powerful volley before half-time his 132nd for the club, moving him above Samuel Eto'o to become Barca's seventh-most prolific goalscorer.

But it was Paulinho who wrapped up the scoring in the third minute of stoppage time, Coutinho's compatriot tapping in from six yards after Suarez dummied a cross from Messi, who beat three defenders in typically stunning fashion before delivering a superb low cross.

With Philippe Coutinho's long-awaited move to Barcelona now complete, players and pundits from all over the world are having their say on the matter. They did all they could to try to keep me, but in the end, they understood that it was my dream, and the dream of my family, to come here. It's a kind gesture.

"After taking a long break, he is already with us, we hope he will help us and we will wait to see him train for at least one day to assess his condition". We are good friends and he wrote me a lot of messages telling me about the city and the club. It was a unique opportunity and the contract is for five years.
