Puel demands Leicester striker Iheanacho 'improve aspects of his play'

Iheneacho set to be sold for cheap by Leicester City

Initially dubbed as the coup of the summer, Kelechi Iheanacho arrived at Leicester City with hype and expectations aplenty; however, it was always a doubt as to how did the Foxes plan to fit him into a side that was overly used to playing in a 4-4-2 system with Jamie Vardy as the main man.

As manager Claude Puel asked Kelechi Iheanacho to improve certain aspects of his game before he can be considered for a starting role, it is now beyond doubt that the Nigerian's stay in the East Midlands won't last long.

Iheanacho is now behind Jamie Vardy, Shinki Okazaki and Islam Slimani in the pecking order.

"It was a possibility for him to have another game or so, because he hasn't played a lot, because of the injury to Jamie".

"We are in a transfer month and I expect these players who are not playing regularly, especially Musa and Iheanacho, to get another club in the same league or elsewhere", Rohr said, making his thoughts very clear regarding his selection process.

"It was a chance to see him again". It is just a choice.

Musa, who joined Leicester City from CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee in July 2016, scored just two goals in 21 Premier League Appearances.

Despite overcoming a toe injury at the start of the season, the Nigerian worldwide has failed to make an impact at the club - having to settle for a place on the bench as the likes of Jamie Vardy, Islam Slimani and Shinji Okazaki are higher up manager Claude Puel's pecking order.

"He works hard on the pitch and in the training sessions and he needs to continue".

"I hope they keep fighting for shirts to get a playing time or quit the club for a better team willing to give them playing time to showcase their talent", he concluded.
