That means that users will be able to control their HD receivers with voice controls, once they're paired to an Assistant-enable device like Google Home speakers, Android handsets and the ever-growing army of third-party devices with the offering baked-in.

LG's first foray into the world of Smart Displays comes in the form of the LG WK9, and while we'll have to get hands-on time with the device before we can make any final judgments, it now looks like the most underwhelming of the Smart Displays we've seen so far. The main screen will display your Google Photos images, but more experiences will likely be added.

JBL says the Link View provides excellent sound quality, and is ideal for anyone that consumes a large amount of content daily.

We've already seen a lot of cool tech from CES 2018, but if there's one thing that's been apparent throughout the show, it's that Google is betting it all on Google Assistant. The report stated that over 70 million households will have at least one smart speaker and the total number of installed devices will be more than 175 million. eMarketer recently reported that 35.6 million USA consumers would use a voice-activated device at least once per month in 2017, representing 128.9 percent growth over past year. Smart displays can do everything the Google Assistant speakers can, with the additional benefit of a lovely touch screen. You will still be able to make it the command hub for your connected smart home devices, from lighting to heating and more - controlled with your voice or touch. "We're excited to bring the LINK View to market with JBL and are committed to deliver a helpful, visual Google Assistant experience".

The JBL View will be available on JBL.com and at select retailers starting Summer 2018 in U.S. only, other regions will follow at a later date.
