American beauty brand Revlon has announced Gal Gadot, the highest grossing actress of 2017, as its global brand ambassador. "There's a cultural shift happening, which Revlon celebrates, where feminine power is recognised, and I'm so proud that I get to witness and live this incredible change". Considering the former Israeli soldier and current superhero has been vocal in her advocacy for women and feminism, the contract makes ideal sense given the current climate. That's something I really like. "I must confess that when I was a young girl I never did that". On an average day, she's wearing light foundation, bronzer, blush and mascara, she said. "I don't like to wear too much makeup, I don't like when it shows too much". And, more and more, would-be classic beauty notes-for example, the red lips that dominated at the Golden Globes, or a strategically exposed swath of skin-strike an empowering chord. Gal has been named the face of beauty brand Revlon's newest campaign, Live Boldly. Anne Talley who is the global brand president of Revlon, was all praise while talking about the actress's addition to the makeup giant's family. The model/actress/former Israeli soldier (yes, really) became a household name, thanks to her starring role as the legendary DC superhero Wonder Woman. She's a strong advocate for women, recognized for using her voice and platform to encourage the entertainment industry to strive for fairness. Live Boldly, which will roll out in multiple parts with additional ambassadors throughout January, is an intentional departure from that message.
