LG rumored to launch an upgraded V30s with an AI camera feature

LG V30s with 256GB storage reportedly bought a ticket for the MWC

LG V30s with 256GB storage reportedly bought a ticket for the MWC

256GB is a strong upgrade over the V30's 64GB default, with more effective and speedier storage by being inherently locked into the device.

This move to bring a V30-variant is reportedly a part of LG's new direction to extend the life of its premium handsets, rather than introducing new phones.

A new variant of V30 will give LG the much-needed time to work on the G7, whose development is said to have been restarted from scratch. LG would give tough competition to Samsung's new Galaxy Note 8 and Apple's iPhone X smartphone if we compare the pricing of it.

The publication writes that this upcoming smartphone will be called LG V30+? Well, this LG V30s carries the same storage option with half the price of the Signature Edition of its predecessor which is a good thing.

"In terms of camera, the device mounts a 16MP (f/1.6, 1 µm, 3-axis OIS, PDAF)+13MP (120˚ Wide, f/1.9) main camera and a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.2 aperture, 1/5", and 1.12 µm pixel size. LG's version is said to be able to identify products and offer online purchasing links or similar suggestions, perform bar and QR code scanning, and translate written text (similar to Google's Word Lens functionality).

It's tipped by ETNews to boast 256GB of storage and launch the LG Lens, an AI and augmented reality play to improve the quality of the cameras.

The LG V30s is expected to carry a price-tag around $920 with sales supposed to start March 9.

The phone would also come with foreign language translation feature which would translate different languages to your native one. Now, according to the fresh information, it has been revealed that the smartphone which will launch will be named as LG V30s and will be available for purchase from the next month in the markets of South Korea.

Sadly, there is no any information about the phone's availability in other markets as of now. We would get to hear some more official information regarding this phone in the coming days.
