Kim Jong-Un Invites South Korea's President To Summit Meeting

"There were some issues that impacted some of our computer systems last night for a few hours", said an Olympic spokesperson.

The official newspaper of the Workers' Party was referring to the North Korean delegation's three-day visit to the South to attend the opening of the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games and meet with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Pence said he and Moon spoke as "friends" and are completely aligned on the need to increase diplomatic and economic pressure on North Korea. "But best worldwide practice says that you don't talk about an attack".

Not everybody was so taken by the show of Korean unity, with U.S. Vice President Mike Pence remaining seated as the North and South Koreans entered the stadium. The Korean news service Yonhap News Agency reported that spectators who purchased tickets to Olympic events were unable to print their reservations until the site came back online Saturday morning.

Moon gave qualified consent to holding a future summit with Kim, the first between the two Koreas since 2007.

President Moon Jae In was also captured shaking hands with Kim Yeo Jong, the youngest sister of Kim Jung Un.

The Trump administration is wary of engagement with the North, which has been subjected to increasingly tough global sanctions, unless it shows clear signs of giving up its nuclear weapons program.

Pence, who was in South Korea for the Olympics, has said the United States and South Korea were closely aligned in their approach to dealing with North Korea. South Korea's presidential Blue House also had no immediate comment. "So we had our own", Aussie aerial skier and two-time Olympian David Morris said in his video post to social media.

Conservative activists tore photos of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and attempted to burn its national flags in demonstrations in Seoul on Saturday against Pyongyang's participation in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
