Will be updated. With AP Photos. Wagner and Duncan Robinson scored 10 and 12 points respectively in the first half and missed only two of their combined 11 field goal attempts as MI doubled Wisconsin's first-half score, leading 44-22 at the break.

MI attacked the basket and drained three 3-pointers, including back-to-back deep balls by Poole and Wagner that capped an 8-0 spurt and gave the Wolverines a 13-point cushion.

"First off, we gave up too many 3s", Happ said.

Happ's effort wouldn't be enough as Wisconsin would fall to MI 83-72 and move to 11-16 on the season.

It was just the second win for MI (20-7, 9-5 Big Ten) in Madison since 2000, and gave Wolverines coach John Beilein his eighth 20-win campaign in 11 seasons in Ann Arbor.

It was more of the same for the Badgers this season.

A quiet Kohl Center crowd reawakened after a 12-0 run drew the Badgers within 58-47 with 8:52 left. But the Badgers could not trim the deficit to single digits until an Aleem Ford 3-pointer with 2:36 to go.

But coach John Beilein's club kept its composure and Wisconsin ran out of time. First off, it improved MI to 19-7 against Division I teams.

MI shot 65.4% from the field to Wisconsin's 36% as the Badgers found themselves down 44-22 at the break.

Happ had his way in the paint down the stretch with an array of baseline drives and post moves.

Minnesota added two more in the third period with Tyler Sheehy scoring on a breakaway at 10:29 before Jack Ramsey closed out the night with a power-play goal at 15:13. Nathan Reuvers scored seven, including a jumper and a 3 that started Wisconsin's second-half run. MI didn't double-team Happ often, as other opponents have done this year, though Happ did miss some easy looks inside in the first half. A Duncan Robinson 3-pointer followed for a 7-0 lead 2:28 into the contest. The senior wing was 5-for-6 from the floor and 4-for-5 from 3-point range in the first half, with the only miss being a desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer.

But a prototypical fundamentally sound MI team kept its composure and Wisconsin ran out of time. The Wolverines secured a road victory in the series for just the second time since 2000, with a 77-70 victory over the then-No. But the Wolverines went 12-for-15 from the free throw line down the stretch to keep the Badgers at bay.

It was just coach John Beilein's second win in Madison in his 11-year tenure.

Speaking of Wagner, the MI forward had another strong game, recording a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Badgers came into the game leading the Big Ten in rebounding defense, holding opponents to an average of 30.1 boards per game.
