Sony Announces Limited Time Sale on PlayStation VR Headsets & Bundles

For the uninitiated, the PlayStation VR is Sony's answer to the the Oculus Rift and other VR headsets available in the market. Now, however, Sony is offering steep discounts on the PlayStation 4's virtual reality headset.

Sony has announced new deals for the PlayStation VR, which will be running from February 18th to March 3rd, 2018. The best deal is a $199.99 bundle that normally costs $299.99, which means it has been given a 33-per cent price drop. The package that includes the PSVR headset, the PlayStation Camera, and the PlayStation Move Motion controllers in various configurations will work on all PS4 console models.

The standard bundle includes a PSVR headset, and PS camera and a demo disc for US$199. That also includes the incredibly popular The Elder Scrolls Online V: Skyrim VR bundle that has been a hit since launch. The full game features all official add-ons, including Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn expansions. Whereas the normal price for the Skyrim bundle is typically at $449, the sale cuts its price down to $349.

This deal comes at an exciting time for the PS VR, with recently released games like The Inpatient and Accounting +.

All bundles in the PSVR promotion will be carried by Sony's major retail partners in the United States, indicating that fans can head out to their favorite Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and GameStop outlets starting this Sunday, Feb. 18. Sony has also setup page for this upcoming PS VR deal so gamers can view more information on where to buy any of these PS VR bundles at discounted prices.

The discounts come as the PlayStation VR goes from strength-to-strength. There are now more than a whopping 150 games and experiences compatible with the PlayStation VR, with more than a 130 highly-anticipated games releasing by the end of this year.
