Ramaphosa pledges a new dawn for SA
"On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Namibia, I wish to congratulate you, Comrade Ramaphosa, on your uncontested election by parliament, as President of the Republic of South Africa", Geingob said.
In his speech, Mr Ramaphosa said his administration would call a summit to discuss ways to create new jobs and address mining rules that have stifled investment.
His presidency has been marred by corruption scandals that have fuelled public anger in Africa's most developed country.
During his speech, the President warned that he will deplete the exceeded executive, now composed of over 70 ministers and deputy ministers, and stressed that the growth, development and transformation of South Africa depend on a strong and capable State.

He said Zuma's impeccable work within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the African Union (AU), as well as his commitment to advancing Africa's developmental agenda within the framework of BRICS (the emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), are some of the many laudable achievements which have cemented the Zuma legacy.
The writing was on the wall last December when the ANC elected Cyril Ramaphosa as leader of the party, concretising an internal division between pro- and anti-Zuma forces.
"This approach will include the expropriation of land without compensation", he added. The country faces many economic challenges, including unemployment of over 25 percent and slow growth. ANC leaders would also not be drawn on when the new Cabinet will be announced.
In Mr Ramaphosa, the ANC has elected a leader with an impeccable record in both politics and business, a squeaky clean image and someone with the wherewithal to drive South Africa forward. "He (Ramaphosa) has a lot of ideas but no plan of how to go about it, but let's give the benefit of doubt", Malema said. The family has denied corruption allegations. Hangwani Mulaudzi, spokesman for the Hawks, South Africa's elite police force, told CNN that authorities were actively looking for Ajay Gupta and considered him a fugitive, asking that he surrender.
