Here's hoping Google digs into the problem and pulls out a solution by the time the March security upgrade rolls around for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. More specifically, the charging rate is dramatically slower in temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius, or 68 degrees Fahrenheit. It looks like the issues are still coming in as some users are reporting that their phones are overheating and has battery charging issues. It can be especially frustrating for people who live in cold regions, as they'll not be able to take advantage of the Quick Charge facility of the device and wait for hours to charge their phones.

Another user on the Pixel User Community claims that his Pixel reached temperatures of 40°C to 45°C and his screen on time reduced by around 30%.
