According to ABC, an Iberian daily, Neymar does not want to return to the French capital and has even asked his father to discuss with the president of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser al-Khelaïfi about his departure.

They know that the player, who is now undergoing treatment for his injury in Brazil, hasn't settled in well in the Ligue 1.

Ronaldo netted a score in each half of the La Liga victory Saturday at Ipurua Municipal Stadium in Eibar, Spain.

Madrid was six minutes away from dropping points when Ronaldo came through with a powerful header to send in Dani Carvajal's cross and grab victory at Eibar.

Real are third in the Liga standings on 57 points, 12 behind runaway leaders Barcelona, who visit basement club Malaga later on Sunday.

Tiny Eibar are in contention for a European place next season and made the better start to the game, with Zidane admitting his side struggled in the opening stages. Ronaldo used his chest to control Modric's pass before scoring. Ivan Ramis had equalised for Eibar shortly after half-time.

Madrid defender Raphael Varane was substituted in the 26th after a blow to the head.

"It's true that after 15, nearly 20 days, Luka came in and played a great game", Zidane said.

Being knocked out of the Champions League in the Round of 16 is a major disappointment for Neymar, who has undergone surgery and is set to miss the rest of the 2017-18 campaign.

"He is an important player for us and what he has done, he has done very well".

The Spain worldwide was not substituted and came back on around five minutes later.

Later on Saturday, Valencia moved back to within a point of Real and all but ended Sevilla´s hopes of finishing in the top four by beating Los Rojiblancos 2-0.

But for Ronaldo's clinical instincts in front of goal, that slip-up should have proved costly and Eibar deserved something from a match in which they poured their heart and soul into.
