Gaming PUBG 2018 Roadmap details new map emotes and more By Edward Swardt- 12 March 2018 0

PUBG Corp have released the patch notes for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' March update and it looks like a doozy. The game has continued to receive updates since its arrival on the Xbox One in late-2017 and a Spring 2018 Roadmap was released recently which confirmed that updates will continue throughout 2018 as well though at 2-3 week intervals.

12 default emotes are now available, with more being added in the future.

The new update will mark the seventh major update the game has received since leaving early access back in December, and it introduces a number of new features to the game, all of which were detailed by the games latest blog post that accompanied the patch notes. Holding the emote menu button, which is defaulted to the tilde key (~) will allow you to pick the emote you wish to use.

As for the Steam achievements, there are 37 of them, from basic ones like simply getting a kill, to rare situations like getting into a vehicle which already has an enemy player in it. If you have a PUBG account, you can add friends regardless of the platform they're using, whether it's Steam,, or DMM. Independent of Steam friends lists, the PUBG friends list "is a one-way follower concept, not a mutual acceptance between players". You also now have the ability to voice chat with your teammates while in the main menu.

There's also been a heap of optimisation bug fixes added.

Beyond that, PUBG Corp say that with the patch, they are 'bringing various optimizations to our server and client.

This has been pushed back due to changes being made, so fans will have to wait to hear more about this.
