Xbox, Switch, and PC players will soon be able to experience Crash Bandicoot in HD.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be arriving simultaneously on Xbox One, Switch, and PC this summer on July 10. While nobody owns a time machine that can make the release date of June 10th come sooner, at least we can pre-order the game starting today.

So we're not sure if Sony requested the change, or if Activision is just doing it automatically to ensure there's no legal waves coming from the release of the game, but it's happening regardless.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has a number of small references to the heritage and origins of the series. Critics praised it for staying faithful to the original's design while also giving it new life with a fresh coat of paint.

It could also refer to the port of the Remaster.

While not formally announced yet, a similar collection for Spyro the Dragon is rumored to be releasing later this year for PS4, and would likely have a similar timed exclusivity. Naughty Dog, the original developer for the first three Crash Bandicoot games, has its presence felt in a few places in Activision's remake.

With the resounding success of the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Edition earlier this year, Microsoft has apparently started to toy with the possibility of an Xbox One X port of Crash Bandicoot, however nothing is actually confirmed yet.
