2 Hospitalised After'Suspicious Package Found At UK Parliament

A House of Commons spokesman says the Parliament area has been cordoned off, after a "suspicious package" was found today.

Two people were hospitalized Monday after a "suspicious package" was found at British parliament, London's Metropolitan Police said.

Police were called into the parliamentary estate yesterday after a letter was sent to a politician, believed to be Mohammad Yasin, Labour MP for Bedford.

Skripal and Yulia remain in a serious condition along with a police officer who came in contact with the same substance.

White powder was also sent to an office in parliament, but the substances in both cases were found to be harmless.

All four packages have been found in the Norman Shaw north building in Westminster, which houses MPs' offices and is linked by a walkway to Portcullis House.

Scotland Yard said they were informed about the "suspicious package" that had been delivered to an office within the Palace of Westminster this morning, days after a Russian spy was allegedly poisoned with a deadly nerve agent. "No reported injuries. Enquiries continue".

"We can not provide any more details at this stage", a parliamentary spokesperson said in a statement.

"Police are investigating the content of the letters to identify any potential links". "Two people attended hospital as a precaution".

Cops were scrambled to an incident at Westminster this morning just hours after a similar one rocked the United Kingdom government headquarters.
