Tyron Woodley Will Train Mayweather for MMA

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has revealed that he's going to put "Money" through his paces when they reconvene in Las Vegas. A lot of people took it as trolling, since not long ago, Mayweather said he has no plans to end his retirement.

"I saw him at the Jordan party during (NBA) All-Star weekend", Woodley told TMZ.

"Floyd Mayweather is interested in taking a mixed martial art bout, maybe a few of them, so who better than The Chose One to teach him the ropes on how we get off the ropes and get in the cage". If that happens, then it wouldn't be too, too surprising if we see Mayweather give MMA a go.

The question that lingers is whether or not Mayweather really wants to test himself in the mixed martial arts world or, perhaps more accurately, whether or not the check is big enough for him to risk tarnishing his thus far spotless record in combat sports. The post leaves little to the imagination as it shows an image headlined "Certified Killa vs Certified B***h", which depicts Mayweather inflicting horrific damage on his arch rival Conor McGregor in a fight that is clearly being conducted under MMA rules. You know the UFC is having a rough year when ring card practitioner and sport ambassador Arianny Celeste thinks Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor can happen. "How many guys in the UFC, that can't wrestle and can't grapple, that consider themselves a standup fighter, [if] they have to stand across from one of the greatest strikers ever, they're gonna be in a world of smoke", the 170-pound kingpin stated.

They might also go the CM Punk route, whereby, they try to bring someone in who doesn't have a ton of MMA experience.

With a background in collegiate wrestling, Woodley could help Mayweather avoid takedowns to keep the fight on the feet.
