In the clip above, exclusive to E! And her moment finally happened Monday evening, when she stood in front of Kelly, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys, and belted out the lyrics to Kelly's song, which is about how her dad abandoned her at a young age. She comes out with sultry low notes that get Alicia Keys cheering with appreciation, and although even she knows this style of R&B/jazz artist is always going to opt for Team Alicia, she forces Kelly to tamp her button and take another recruitment L just to double up the show of respect for her newest, and final, team addition.

"Not with that shirt they not".

Skipper may be Team Adam, but her connection to Clarkson's song about an absentee father runs deep. Levine, Clarkson and Shelton all hit their buttons. Stephanie said she sang the song because it reminded her about how her dad was also not in her life. As previously noted, Dallas went with Team Blake. Kelly was touched by her performance of "Piece By Piece" and couldn't believe that she didn't turn around for the singer.

In fact, she felt so out of her comfort zone that she compared the experience to the famous scene from the 1990 romantic comedy, in which Julia Roberts' prostitute character tries to go shopping on Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive. And Blake applauded Stephanie for her passion and singing a song so personal to her.

Kelly said Livia is different from everyone else and her unique voice will set her apart from the rest of the competition. Kelly and Blake have been putting their playful banter on full display during Season 14, which debuted on NBC earlier this month. Adam told Gary that his voice transcends all the problems in the world and made him feel like everything was going to be alright.

On the show, singers audition while the judges' backs are turned. Adam, however, pretty much expected to lose this country, pop and soul singer to his rival coach. "I've seen all of the girls be like, 'Oh my god, Blake.' But I love country music too".

And Shana Halligan, a 44-year-old from Los Angeles, CA, performed a unique rendition of "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me own)".

The Voice could just as easily be a contest for the nation's most resilient individuals, and it would still make sense because, like so many others, Sharane Calister has a story.
