Samsung Care same-day repair fixes smashed S9 and more

One of the main reasons why iPhone owners are very loyal to Apple is because they can walk right into an Apple Store and get anything fixed on their device.

To pull this off, Samsung is partnering with over 300 uBreakiFix locations across the US that are Samsung Care authorized (there will be an additional 200 locations opened by early 2019 according to the South Korean electronics giant).

Cracked your Galaxy S9 display, or broken the headphone jack on your Galaxy Note 8?

UBreakiFix isn't the only fix firm to gain this sort of authorization from Samsung-Best Buy offers a similar service in a handful of U.S. states-but the partnership looks to bring a fairly sizable boost to the Galaxy maker's customer service efforts.

According to Samsung, "walk-ins are always welcome" and uBreakiFix will offer "same-day repairs" for most issues. Most repairs will be done within two hours or less, Samsung says. If there's no outlet near you, don't worry because roughly 200 more uBreakiFix locations will start offering Samsung-authorized repairs by early 2019.

Samsung is certainly trying to maintain the same pace at which Apple provides its after-sales service but the California-based giant is far ahead of other companies in terms of phone maintenance and service availability.

Currently, Samsung sells an extended warranty service called "Premium Care" that costs $12 a month and offers in-home support and extra coverage against accidental damages.

This won't help if you're using a budget Samsung phone, and it still means going to a third-party shop.

Samsung will massively expand its repairs centers across the United States, the company announced.
