For a medium budget, less conventional it opened to decent 3.25 crores all India nett and if the collections take a bit of rise than it will be a profitable venture.

The film has gotten off to a great start especially in metros with tier two cities too enjoying good occupancy on Day 1.

The makers of Rani Mukerji's Hichki are promoting the film uniquely by asking prominent personalities to share their untold weaknesses and how they eventually converted them into massive strengths.

Rani suffers from Tourette Syndrome in the movie and the movie revolves around the struggles of a woman with a disability.

Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma, "Hichki" has hit the screens today. The film is an adaptation of Hollywood film Front of the Class (2008), which itself was based on the book, Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had by Brad Cohen, of which Yash Raj Films acquired the rights.

Unlike other Yash Raj Films' releases, this film has got a limited release considering the film is meant for niche audience.
