Dragon Quest IX: Echoes of an Elusive Age is already available for pre-order for anyone living in the US, UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.

Square Enix have also confirmed that the Dragon Quest XI being released in the United Kingdom will feature a few additions over the version originally launched in Japan. Square Enix has indicated that the Switch version may take quite a while to arrive in the West, and the 3DS version simply isn't coming at all.

Dragon Quest XI launches in North America and Europe on Sep. 4.

Dragon Quest XI has already earned itself multiple awards and critical acclaim from Famitsu, which scored the game a flawless 40/40. Even more disappointing is the fact that, despite its popularity in Japan, we won't see the 3DS version of Dragon Quest XI at all.

[Update] Square Enix now confirmed that Dragon Quest XI will release on PC and PlayStation 4 on September 4th in North America and Europe.

Camera Mode, allowing players to take in views of the attractive landscape, character renders and ferocious monsters in detail. To celebrate, they shared the opening movie from the game on Twitter, along with a link to preorder the Western versions of the game.

It was also announced that the 3DS version would not receive an English localisation. Pre-ordering from the PlayStation Store will grant the Legend Reborn PlayStation Theme right away, as well as some in-game DLC items to get you started.

According to a statement made to IGN, the Switch version of the game will come to the United Kingdom, but arrives considerably later than the PS4 and PC versions.
