For the last few days, Facebook has been in news for the facing an investigation by the Federal Trade Commission and calls for legislative testimonies in the U.S. and Europe.

Among others who have quit social media - including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter over the years are singer Adele, singer Ed Sheeran, rapper Kanye West, actor Emma Stone, model Kendall Jenner, singers Rihanna and Demi Lovato, Star Wars star Daisy Ridley and even pop singer Justin Bieber.

Rubbishing the news, Farhan tweeted, "Request those who conjure up news about #Don3 without any fact checking to please refrain".

He announced this message on Twitter, "Good morning". However it should be noted that the actor's live page FarhanAkhtarLive is still active.

Farhan Akhtar has confirmed that he has permanently deleted his personal Facebook account.

Facebook is in news after Cambridge Analytica, a British consulting company, was accused of hacking data of around 50 million Facebook users without legal permission.

Akhtar's quitted Facebook after similar steps were taken by Elon Musk, Cher and Jim Carrey.

Moreover, a few days back WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton's tweet, "It is time".

Farhan Akhtar fan followers in Facebook are upset due to his absence in the platform.

Meanwhile, Farhan deleted his Facebook account joining several Hollywood celebrities in the #DeleteFacebook movement.
