Hart focused on West Ham, not England

It didn't work out that way though as West Ham's late (ish) equaliser from Javier Hernandez pulled things level and the match finished 1-1.

Chelsea went into this game unbeaten in their last 11 home Premier League games against West Ham since a 2-3 defeat in 2002.

The home side had dominated the London derby for 73 minutes, leading for nearly half that time after Cesar Azpilicueta poked home in following a short corner. Thereafter, the records toppled for Chelsea; the club equalled the Premier League record for consecutive wins (13 [since toppled by Manchester City]), fewest draws in a season (0) and a record number of wins in a season (30).

"Coming to Chelsea games as a kid, joining the club at seven and being released at 14, I don't think I need to prove anything, but today I felt I came back and made a statement and I was happy with my performance". We could have done better, of course - we gave them a gift, it was the first clear chance they had and they scored.

The blame for that falls with both our attackers and Conte, and Rudiger appears to be growing increasingly frustrated with the amount of points we've thrown away as a result of it. "We begged for the goal", the former Roma defender told Sky Sports after the game.

"Stoke [City] next Monday is our game of the season now".

But Chelsea missed a host of chances to increase their advantage and were made to pay when Hernandez came off the bench to snatch the leveller with 17 minutes left.

Chelsea were booed off at full-time and, asked if they could still make the top four, Conte said: "I don't know".

West Ham team: Hart, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Zabaleta, Kouyate, Masuaku, Arnautovic, Joao Mario, Fernandes.

"On the day, we had a game plan and we stuck to it".

Had Chelsea won these three matches, they would be two points behind Tottenham and Liverpool for a top four position in the table. "From where we are I want to try and push us on".

"We must be frustrated for the final result but this game shows our season".

They have a chance to finish this season with a title if they win this year's FA Cup - as they face Southampton in the semifinal clash later this month.
