After reminiscing about the good old days, the team took the field again, and NBC correspondent Gadi Schwartz stepped up since they were down one player.

If you want to see more from the boys of summer, a new collector's edition DVD and Blu-ray of "The Sandlot" has been released in honor of the film's 25th anniversary.

Actors Tom Guiry, Patrick Renna, Chauncey Leopardi, Marty York, Brandon Quintin Grant Gelt, Victor DiMattia and Shane Obedzinski got together for the reunion.

Released in 1993, The Sandlot was set in 1962 and followed the summer of a group of neighborhood kids who played a never-ending baseball game and went head-to-head with the legend of a dog named "The Beast".

Unfortunately, Mike Vitar (Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez) was MIA from the festivities, but if his experience is anything like York's, then we have a feeling "The Jet" references are aplenty.

"I'm Kevin Durant, it's a little-known truth, and I'll ball you up", Renna joked. "I can't walk through a Las Vegas casino without someone yelling 'Yeah-Yeah!'"

But it surely's not simply on a regular basis individuals who nonetheless maintain the film in excessive regard - Main League Baseball gamers are among the many movie's largest followers.

Patrick Renna, who played "Ham", admits that he showed it to his young son, but said "well, he's really big on Moana".

"I think she just thinks I'm kind of a dork", he said. Maybe the men will become cooler in the eyes of their children a little later down the road.
