Google to launch Gmail redesign in coming weeks

According to the TechCrunch report and additional details found by The Verge, it sounds like Google creates a link to the confidential email and then emails that link to the recipient, who will be required to log in with Google account details or enter the SMS-generated passcode to view the message behind the link.

Gmail's current design as viewed on the web.

In a statement, Google did not confirm specific changes but did acknowledge that it's working on a change to its email service.

Gmail will reportedly offer a feature that will allow users to set a self-destruction time when the message they send will no longer be viewable by the recipient, according to TechCrunch. Google's method works on ordinary videos with a single audio track and all the user must do is select the face of the person in the video they want to hear.

The "snooze" button will also temporarily hide emails from user's inbox until a certain time.

Google demonstrates its new AI model using a series of videos including one of two stand-up comedians talking loudly at the same time (which you can watch below), and its effectiveness is startling. Furthermore, it will have much better integrations with Google's other services like a sidebar for appointments, Google Tasks, and more.

Earlier this week we delivered word of Google's forthcoming revamp of its Gmail web client, likely to officially debut at the I/O conference next month.

The update will hit the Early Adopter Program for both regular Gmail and G Suite users within the next few weeks and touts easy access to G Suite apps from directly within Gmail.

Recently the company release a new design for Google Calendar with modern icons and colours.

We didn't overlook the part where emails self-destruct in the Gmail redesign, don't worry.

"We are pleased that the Court recognized our efforts [to comply with the Right to Be Forgotten], and we will respect the judgments they have made in this case", a Google spokesman said about the new ruling, The Telegraph reported.

The design looked more like the mobile app meaning Gmail itself could be updated in a similar way.
