Tax Day 2018 is NOT April 15? So what’s going
The Arizona Department of Revenue is reminding the public that the deadline for taxpayers to file taxes is Tuesday.

So normally, the deadline would be April the 16th. The IRS understands, kind of.
But if you file your tax return and pay your penalty late, the fee is only half a percent each month, per Liberty Tax in West Springfield. For more information, visit http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Free-Tax-Return-Preparation-for-You-by-Volunteers.
That doesn't mean you can put it off for months. It only gives you more time to file your return.
One scam is a robotic voice that uses incorrect English, which calls threatening consumers, telling them that they have a debt with the IRS and will be taken under custody by local authorities.
