This marks the third straight postponement for the Blue Jays, who also had games against the Indians postponed Saturday and Sunday because of inclement weather in Cleveland.

Monday night's Major League Baseball game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals has been postponed because of damage to the roof at Rogers Centre.

Toronto's CN Tower has closed amid reports of falling ice with thousands of sports fans descending upon the city for Toronto Leafs and Blue Jays games scheduled for Monday evening.

Instead, the game will be made up Tuesday as part of a traditional doubleheader beginning at 3:07 p.m. ET.

The CN Tower was closed several hours before the game was postponed, as what the Toronto Star described as "watermelon-sized chunks of ice" fell just outside the nearby Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

"Fortunately there's been no injuries reported", said Toronto Police Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook.

However, if ice is already busting holes in the roof of the Rogers Centre, what are they going to do when Vlad Guerrero Jr. gets called up?

A weekend ice storm resulted in power outages, canceled flights and road collisions.

It's only the second time in the stadium's history that the team has had to postpone a game. More than 120,000 customers across much of Ontario remained without power.
