Capcom Releases Reigns on a New Monster

Monster Hunter: World to Add New, Limited Time Quest Type

Monster Hunter: World to Add New, Limited Time Quest Type

Each hunting party will split off into groups of up to four hunters each, but will be working together to investigate and hunt down the same Kulve Taroth.

Please note that the Siege game mode balance is the same regardless of the hunting party size, and SOS Flares will be disabled for this special operation.

Apparently, the Kulve Taroth represents Monster Hunter World's next Elder Dragon, bringing the total count to 7.

In this trailer, we see a new very big monster named Kulve Taroth.

The Siege of Kulve Taroth is the new limited time event players will be rushing to complete, as reported on Capcom-Unity, and there's a new trailer showing a bit of what they can get into. Players will also be able to collect various Kulve Taroth materials that can be used to create shiny new armor sets.

"In this new quest type, we invite all of you up to the Gathering Hub to coordinate your hunting efforts with all 16 players in the lobby". We don't have much information on when and where Kulve Taroth has amassed all these relics, so the nature and quality of these weapons (read: type and stats) are entirely up to fate.

The Kulve Taroth is coming to Monster Hunter: World.

As you attack the Kulve Taroth, you'll dismantle portions of its armor. Since the Kulve Taroth is exceptionally enormous, players will apparently have to rely on cannons, makeshift avalanches, and other forms of heavy artillery to damage the creature. Capcom is also offering a new style they are calling the Layered Armor Set.

The first instance of the Kulve Taroth Siege will start on April 18 at 5pm PDT, 8pm EDT, April 19 at 1am BST, alongside the second free content update.
