Mariah Carey on Her Battle with Bipolar Disorder

As The Blast previously reported, Stella Bulochnikov filed documents in NY ahead of a possible lawsuit against Mariah Carey.

In a new People magazine cover story, Carey talks about having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and where she is today. We're told Stella is claiming Mariah rarely wore clothes around her, and was not only naked. but did sexual things in Stella's presence.

Fans have been incredibly supportive and have sent endless words of encouragement to Mariah since she came forward about her diagnosis on Wednesday.

"Stella pled with Mariah to get sober and she refused".

This is when she is understood to have dropped Stella from her immediate team.

As previously reported, a statement on behalf of Mariah and Stolper said that both parties believed it was "in their mutual best interest to part ways on day-to-day management".

An unnamed source told Page Six that month: 'She is getting legitimate people, assistants, a lawyer, and Stella is not happy about it'.

Stolper, a former comedian, became Carey's manager in 2013 and served in that role until past year when they parted ways when Carey signed with Roc Nation.

In a courageous interview with PEOPLE, Mariah admitted that she "lived in denial" and "constant fear of being exposed" after a 2001 diagnosis, when she was hospitalised for a physical and mental breakdown. Until recently, I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me. "It's not making me feel too exhausted or sluggish or anything like that". I sought and received treatment, I put positive people around me and I got back to doing what I love - writing songs and making music.

With over 200,000 confirmed diagnoses per year in the United States alone, bipolar II disorder is more common than realized.

Carey's ex-husband, Nick Cannon, reportedly expressed pride that she went public with her condition.
