Woodstock School District 200 seeking 2nd resource officer

Woodstock School District 200 seeking 2nd resource officer

Piper is now the superintendent of Triad Local Schoot District in North Lewisburg, Ohio, and has served there for the past four years. He will replace the retiring Eric Herman, who has served the school district as superintendent for the past 8 years.

The district will also be paying off debt in upcoming years, which will cut the amount it now has to pay for debt service, he said.

Faribault Public Schools were one of many in the area to start two hours late this morning but Superintendent Todd Sesker will be in the KDHL Studio for AM Minnesota this morning.

Cornell School District was the only district in the state to be recognized as both a Title I High Achieving School and a Beating the Odds School.

Superintendent Hank Stopinski said he did not have an estimate of the impact for a home valued at $100,000 with this increase to the tax levy because the 2018-2019 assessments have not been completed yet.

"I think $105 million is an enormous step forward", Auerbach said, explaining that it is still an amount that the Avon Grove community could afford.

The officer would be shared by School Unions 76 and 93 and would be responsible for security oversight at all nine school buildings in both unions, Elkington said.

Frost was one of two finalists for the position, and she was offered the position after a "rigorous" process that included being interviewed by three screening committees, which included parents of students with disabilities, Heinz said.

Marchese said that an expenditure in the range of $116 million not only provides for larger classrooms, on average, but it also opens up the common spaces-the gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria, and library-to ensure that those spaces are large enough to accommodate some growth in enrollment.

The proposed increase would put the tax rate at 29.6201 mills, Bill Stone, the district's director of business affairs, said. The students are also taught to take only the amount of food they will eat instead of too much.

"Obviously we'd be looking for some grant funds", Elkington said. "It looks like overall the information I've been given is that some schools will have to close". They should be completed sometime in July or August, he said.

But enrollment has leveled off around the 690 mark since 2015, after more than a decade of steady decline, according to district figures.

The four finalists for Bardstown City Schools superintendent are Chuck Abell, assistant superintendent of Spencer County Schools; Matthew Baker, director of district-wide programs for Greenup County School District; Ryan Clark, principal of Bardstown Middle School; Anthony Thompson, director of pupil personnel for Russell Independent Schools.

Next, the school board discussed a draft resolution that will establish the school's authorization of a project and the parameters for spending. The school board is expected to vote on the plan at its next meeting on Thursday, April 26.
