Anyone trying to access Twitter Tuesday morning might run into an error message.

Micro-blogging network, Twitter is down across the globe. Twitter users around the world are meeting with an unhappy robot and a message saying the site is broken, instead of you know, the usual, tweets.

While Facebook has almost 2 billion monthly users, Twitter has 330 million.

The micro-blogging site, when opened, said "Something is technically wrong".

A lot of online tracking services like Downdetector and Downrightnow have shown huge jump in reports from users on Twitter.

Thousands of Twitter users are reporting problems with the service every minute, DownDetector reports.

In November 2017, Twitter introduced a major update for its users, increasing the size of tweets from 140 to 280 characters. "Thanks for noticing- We are going to fix it up and have things back to normal".
