Celtics' Marcus Smart Upgraded To 'Questionable' For Game 5

"We did a lot of great things in Game 4".

The Celtics and Bucks are tied 2-2 in their first-round series. In 67 games before that, only the San Antonio Spurs ranked ahead of the Celtics in points per game allowed, 99.8 to 100.2. But after a last-second loss last game, I expect the Celtics to bounce back strong at home especially if Smart can return and make an impact.

"He still has to go through some things later this morning after our shootaround, and then we'll see how he feels after that", Stevens told reporters. "If he has any pain or anything comes up, then we'll keep him out".

But the Bucks, after a lineup change caused by the back injury to John Henson, guaranteed there will be another game at Bradley Center before the move to their new building next season.

The Celtics challenge would be to stop Antetokounmpo and Middleton who are completely taking charge in the offense for the Bucks.

On the postseason, five players are averaging in double figures for the Celtics, they are Jaylen Brown (23.8), Al Horford (17.3), Terry Rozier (16.3), Marcus Morris (14.8) and Jayson Tatum (14.5). His return would provide valuable depth to the Celtics backcourt, but he is likely to have a strict minutes limit in his first game or two back. He's a guy that can make plays with the ball in his hands and knock down some big shots. "And then in the second, he just continued and did a great job".

Defensive intensity has been the overriding factor in all of those games, just as it was during the regular season.

Game 4: Bolstered again by a raucous crowd, Milwaukee got off to another quick start but couldn't maintain the pace and Boston made a game of it with a second-half run.

"We know how he plays".

"When we step on the floor, we need to be assertive with what we do", Bucks coach Joe Prunty said. "If he does play, we're prepared for that". Boston has remained an elite defense, but Smart takes them to a different level.

Horford had 24 points and 12 rebounds in Boston's 113-107 overtime win in Game 1, and Brown scored 30 in a 120-106 victory in Game 2. According to Basketball Reference, Boston was 4.6 points per 100 possessions better with Smart on the floor compared to when he Saturday. "We did it as a team tonight".

Even though Smart hasn't played in a competitive game in more than a month, the Bucks have every intention of going at him as though he had played in every game of this series.
