Get ready, HTC is going to announce the U12 on the May 23

HTC, however, didn't reveal the device name which it would launch on May 23.

Popular tipster Evan Blass few days ago posted an image showing the HTC U12 in all its glory.

The hybrid dual SIM phone will have connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, Global Positioning System with GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C. Interestingly, it will also sport a full view display with 18:9 ratio. The phone is said to pack two cameras of 16MP and 12MP at the back with the secondary sensor acting as a telephoto lens. Some of you might be wondering why the device will be called as HTC U12+ and not HTC U12, well that's what rumours suggest. While the exact specifications haven't been released at this point in time, we can expect to see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC - the latest and greatest from the largest smartphone processor manufacturer in the world. The phone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC Sense UI.

It will be offering up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In the meantime, it looks like HTC will have a true 2018 Android flagship contender with the U12.

It remains to be seen whether the HTC U12 launch will bring further success to the company or if they will be drowned out in a series of similar phones from competitors. "A phone that is more than the sum of its specs".
