To enable the update, Instagram users must have a business profile, sell physical goods and have a product catalogue through Facebook or an integrated partner.

You may soon be able to make purchases on Instagram.

The Instagram feature is backed by Facebook's payment rules.

Instagram Shopping launched in eight more countries, including the United Kingdom, back in March, following initial testing in the USA in 2016. Maybe WhatsApp would allow users to get rid of ads by buying into a premium ad-free subscription for a fraction of the cost.

The function has started to pop up for some in the United Kingdom and U.S., prompting speculation that it is part of a test run for a future global roll-out. The opportunity has also been explored by Snapchat which, in February, rolled out a native payments and checkout feature.

While the feature is only available to a select few users, reports show how it lets you register a debit or credit card and a security pin as part of your profile.

A sample of businesses in the United Kingdom and the U.S. are now accepting in-app payments for services, such as booking restaurant tables or taking hair appointments, without needing users to leave the app. Instagram is now making it possible for users to directly buy and pay for the product right inside the app. Customers can head directly to Resy's Instagram page to book a table. What remains to be seen, is if Instagram will also introduce peer-to-peer payments similar to Messenger in the future. The payments feature on Instagram not only let users to add their debit or credit card details but also track previous payments within the app itself. Initially, Instagram just getting the payment option, unlike the Whatsapp which have a larger platform. After the initial setup, users can make purchases from within Instagram.

In the days to come, Instagram will reportedly bring payments feature for booking movie tickets.

In the F-8 function, Zuckerberg announced that group video-calling will likely soon be introduced so on, wherever around 3 people may join the telephone the same time and watch each other in split screen mode.
