A Fond du Lac man who holds the world record for"Most Big Macs Consumed is eating his 30,000th Big Mac today

Don Gorske ate his first Big Mac in 1972 at a McDonald's in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and returned there on Friday to eat his 30,000 Big Mac, breaking his own world record.

Don Gorske, " 6 4, ate the record-extending double-patty sandwich at a native McDonald's restaurant also says he's eaten so many simply because he loves burgers.

Gorske says he eats about two Big Macs everyday.

In October 2017, Gorske set his first world record for the most Big Macs consumed.

On top of that, McDonald's U.S. headquarters said: "We are lovin' Don Gorske's enthusiasm for our iconic Big Mac sandwich and appreciate his ongoing loyalty".

In fact, after the little ceremony the local Mickey D's held for him, he got a second one to-go: number 30,001. He has an impressive collection of receipts, burger wrappers, and containers.

"People make fun of me, but it never bothered me".

He takes the burger as is comes: beef patty, special sauce, lettuce (he remembers, in 1984, when McDonald's switched to shredded), gherkins, onions, sesame seed bun.

He said his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal and he weighs five pounds less than he did in 2011 when he ate his 25,000 Big Mac. I don't think people celebrate 35,000 at all, so we're probably looking at 14 more years down the road, and I'll be 78 years old then!

When McDonald's debuted the Grand Mac and Big Mac Jr. sandwiches past year, Gorske handed out bottles of Big Mac sauce to the lucky first customers at a McDonald's restaurant in Wauwatosa.

After achieving his milestone, Gorske left his favourite fast food restaurant to return home, which he shares with his wife. He says he is often asked about the effects of all those Big Macs on his health. To start with, eating 30,000 over 46 years would require eating 652 per year. It wouldn't be the first time.
