BioWare plans to solve the problem of multiplayer storytelling by structuring "Anthem's" entire game design around a solution.

"Each word of this mission is carefully chosen. Specifically, 'What if I don't want to play with randos?' 'What if I don't have friends that I play games with?' And, 'I like to be the one making choices in my story-if it's multiplayer, won't the story get watered down?'"

Per the figures, 18 million players engaged in "competitive gaming" across Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 and Madden NFL 18, up more than 75% year-over-year (yoy).

Expect a lot more info to come from this year's E3 then. For Example, we believe what we do is first and foremost about creating worlds.

That line from Wilson about allowing fans to "play early" is actually garnering a good amount of online attention now, as people are trying to figure out what it means.

According to Game Rant, it's possible that the "play early" comment from Wilson means that fans will be given an opportunity to participate in a beta ahead of launch day. Sometimes those friends are other players like in Neverwinter Nights, and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Sometimes they are fictional characters, like in Mass Effect and Dragon Age. CFO Blake Jorgensen mentioned that it is an "extremely unique" game that players will really enjoy playing. Studio head Casey Hudson says it will be something completely new, but isn't sharing specifics until EA Play in June. These details will be shared "very soon", but he said that you don't have to worry about being forced to engage in multiplayer.

People voiced some concerns after Hudson said in a previous update 'Anthem' is "a story you can experience with friends", he said. In it, he presents the new mission statement by which all games will be developed. "Every battle is unique, and every mode brings its own challenges - from the way you interact with the environment around you, to compelling single-player stories, to the next level of large-scale multiplayer that spans across multiple maps and modes". I think that's this year and next year, you'll start to see new things in that subscription program, be it new third-party titles or, potentially, at some point, frontline titles.
