Pep Guardiola's men smashed the record for most points and most goals scoring in a Premier League season, 100 and 106 respectively, as they comprehensively cruised to the title.

Kevin De Bruyne believes it would be "probably impossible" for Manchester City to repeat their record haul of 100 points next season and doubts the achievement will be replicated in the future.

The team also won February's League Cup final by beating Arsenal. "It's not the time to talk of next season".

The parade left Victoria Street behind Cathedral Gardens at 18:15 BST before heading on a mile-long route through Manchester city centre, finishing in Deansgate. It ended with a stage show back on Deansgate. We are delighted to share what we have done together.

Playmaker David Silva and top scorer Sergio Aguero were not involved. Aguero, who has a knee injury, has been given permission to report for global duty early ahead of the World Cup.

Silva has returned to Spain but sent over a video of him cradling his son Mateo, who was born prematurely in December.

"Thank you for understanding my situation". I will be in debt with you forever.

The majority of the City first-team squad were there to celebrate, including Yaya Toure, who will be leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season.

"We have the most points ever and with the competition you have with all the big teams it is very tough. I wish you the best of luck".

Asked how he meant to stop De Bruyne, Sterling quipped: "He has to stop us!"
