Joining Mikel in the midfield are Ogenyi Onazi (Trabzonspor FC, Turkey); Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Oghenekaro Etebo (UD Las Palmas, Spain); John Ogu (Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Israel); Uche Agbo (Standard Liege, Belgium); Joel Obi (Torino FC, Italy); and Mikel Agu (Bursaspor FC, Turkey).

Rohr included him alongside, Crotone striker, Simeon Nwankwo, in the provisional list released on Monday by the Nigeria Football Federation.

Nduka Ugbade, an ex-international and former assistant coach of the Nigeria under-17 national football team said he was satisfied with Coach Rohr's selection.

"Looking at our options upfront, I think the likes of Ighalo, Moses and Iheanacho should be able to keep their jerseys barring any injury worries".

The squad will further train together under the watchful eyes of Rohr before traveling to London for a friendly match with England on June 2, 2018.

Others are Ogenyi Onazi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses.
