On 22 May, in sweltering Mumbai conditions, Twenty20 cricket fans were in for a masterclass in chasing as South Africa's Faf Du Plessis saw CSK beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by two wickets in Qualifier 1. However, at the Wankhede, the ball was not coming on to the bat and the SRH bowlers made sure that the run chase wasn't easy.

CSK booked their place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) final for the seventh time on Tuesday and it seems that there was nothing that could hold back the team from celebrating. It was now up to the two men who had been flop thus far in the season, Manish Pandey and Yousuf Pathan, to take them out of the hell hole.

In the first eight overs of CSK's chase of 140, du Plessis faced just nine balls for five runs. The opener kept on playing sensibly throughout even as no other batman clicked at the other end. Afghanistan's Rashid Khan once again controlled the middle overs and picked up 2/11 in four overs.

Sunrisers will now have to beat the victor of the eliminator between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in order to progress through to the final, according to a Stuff report. That's the first time I've seen him bat!

Raina took Sandeep Sharma to the cleaners in the next over, hitting three boundaries and a single that came off the last ball. But he was bowled by pacer Kaul in the fourth over when he shuffled across and exposed his leg-stump.

If you would have told anyone that Chennai Super Kings would be making the final of the IPL 2018, majority might have believed you. Shardul Thakur, who had had a forgettable outing with the ball, redeemed himself with a cameo; batting at number 10, he contributed three boundaries in the 19th over- one off the outside edge, one off the inside edge, and a fierce hit over the bowler's head.

Thakur, who remained unbeaten on 15 runs, played sensibly and gave the strike to du Plesis. But, come the big match, Faf du Plessis used all his class to score a magnificent 67 off 42 balls, hitting four maximums. SRH slipped to 88 for 6 at the end of 15 overs, and it took a late innings blitz from Carlos Brathwaite and his 51-run partnership with Bhuvneshwar Kumar to rescue them to 139-7. Hyderabad suffered a fatal blow when Shikhar Dhawan got out of the first ball of the match as it started a slide, after that Hyderabad couldn't quite recover.

Shakib Al Hasan also fell to a leg-side catch by Dhoni off Dwayne Bravo (2/25) and it left Sunrisers at a spot at 50 for 4.

"We have been a very good team over the past ten seasons, but it's more about the dressing room atmosphere".

Harbhajan played four balls off the 17th over bowled by Kaul and the required rate now shot up to 14.33.
