EA Announces Star Wars: Jedi -- Fallen Order, Set Between Episodes III & IV

Titanfall developer Respawn gave an impromptu unveiling of its new Star Wars game during EA's E3 showcase.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set "shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith".

When it comes to Star Wars video games, the only substantial titles we've gotten come in the form of the Star Wars Battlefront franchise (which just got a new Han Solo season).

Something to look forward to: Respawn is one of several studios with Star Wars games in the works.

This small reveal will happen during EA Play, EA's own livestream and demo center a few miles from the main E3 hub, some time after the conference's 11 am PST start time.

Zampella teased that players will step into the shoes of a Jedi on the run.

It's called Jedi Fallen Order.

Mind all the speculation, but that's pretty much we have to go on right now since Zampella didn't have much to say during the presentation. The studio is now working on a Star Wars game, a VR gaming experience, and a Titanfall sequel.

For those of you unfamiliar with Respawn, the rights were acquired by EA for a cool $465 previous year.

Zampella revealed that you will play a Jedi and, yes, you will be able to wield the series' signature lightsaber weapon.

According to IGN.com, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella teased the brand new addition to the Star Wars gaming collection.
