Long-Awaited Kingdom Hearts III Release Date Finally Announced

The much awaited follow up to 2005's Kingdom Hearts II finally got a release date! We love it so much that we can nearly forgive the fourteen year wait between Kingdom Hearts II and its true sequel, Kingdom Hearts III.

Kingdom Hearts III is the first game in the series that's coming to Xbox.

Nomura said regarding the release date, "I'm sorry that we're asking for a little more time than initially planned".

With this new announcement, it's nearly certain that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a big part of Square Enix's press conference, which kicks off tomorrow morning. Confirmed worlds include Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Tangled, Monsters, Inc., and the returning Olympus Coliseum world. The new trailer focused heavily on the world of one of Disney's greatest commercial successes in recent years, primarily on two fan-favorite characters: Elsa and Olaf.

On the Enix side, we know that Just Cause 4 will be part of Square Enix's E3 this year, thanks to a leak via a Steam ad this week.
