Domino's has paved five potholes in Burbank CA according to the company

"Potholes, cracks, and bumps in the road can cause irreversible damage to your pizza during the drive home from Domino's", said the company in a release.

"We appreciated the extra paving for pizza funds to stretch our street fix budget as we addressed more potholes than usual", Milford City Manager Eric Norenberg told Domino's.

Domino's Pizza has a new menu item: asphalt.

Domino's announced it had already worked to fix roads in Burbank, Calif.; Bartonville, Texas; Milford, Del.; and Athens, Ga.

The company helped fill five potholes in Burbank, eight in Bartonville, 40 in Milford, and 150 square yards of roads in Athens.

The website for the effort includes video that allows users to see what four different road conditions can do to a pizza traveling to a customer.

Customers interested in nominating their hometown for a paving grant from Domino's can enter their zip code on the website. Domino's has created an interactive experience showing what happens when the delivery driver goes over a pot hole, and it's as bad as you would imagine.

The pizza chain could also be looking for some positive publicity in light of a health inspection last month in Tennessee, in which officials discovered rodent droppings on trays of pizza dough at a Domino's in Johnson City.

On May 2, officials said they were investigating reports of "excessive rodent activity".
