E3 2018: Cyberpunk 2077 Pre-Order Guide

But one of the most striking things we learned about Cyberpunk was that unlike The Witcher series, where we saw Geralt from a third-person persepective, Cyberpunk is a first-person RPG through and through.

During a very brief E3 Coliseum panel hosted by Geoff Keighly, CD Projekt Red's Kyle Rowley, (associate design director) and Peter Gelencser (level design coordinator) took the stage to chat about some of Cyberpunk 2077's systems.

CD Projekt Red has provided the first in-depth insight into Cyberpunk 2077, at the ongoing E3 Show in Los Angeles. Featuring CD PROJEKT RED's trademark storytelling system driven by choice and effect, in Cyberpunk 2077 players navigate the streets of Night City along strongly contrasting paths to arrive at one of a range of story outcomes.

You probably guessed it from the trailer already, but yes, vehicles will indeed be integral to getting around Cyberpunk 2077's world.

While the viewpoint is in the first person for shooting and moving around, driving can be done in first or third person.

The streets are bustling, things are happening around you in a way that makes you feel as if they'd be happening whether you were there to initiate them or not.

Game Noir - With its mature approach to storytelling, Cyberpunk 2077 adopts elements of noir cinema and inserts them into the future of video games. With such an open-world experience to offer, we're going t obe spending a lot of time with the protagonist. If players aren't happy with their starting apartment, it sounds like they'll be able to use their "blood money" to invest in additional properties. Unlike Geralt in CD Projekt Red's best known game, The Witcher 3, V is entirely user-definable: you can make the character male or female, and customise their appearance extensively. During missions, you'll clash with hostile netrunners defending corporate megabuildings - both in cyberspace and in the real world.

CD Projekt says that there will be "dozens of hours" in the main storyline and there will be plenty of side quests to partake in.
