Gal Gadot, who plays the franchise's title superhero, swung by Twitter Wednesday and posted a snap of herself as Wonder Woman staring at a set of 12 TV monitors.

So many questions! Is this a descendant of Steve? It's possible in a comic book universe, but would perhaps risk undermining his emotional exit in Wonder Woman.

"Wonder Woman 1984" is the official title of the sequel, and Pine will be back as Steve Trevor. It's believed that the title of the sequel is based off of George Orwell's dystopian classic novel 1984, which touches on corrupt governments and surveillance.

Let's back up for a second.

Yes, Steve Trevor is alive and kicking it off in nice white sneakers that were all rage in the '80s. At the end of the first Wonder Woman film, Trevor was killed off.

"We are delighted to welcome the Wonder Woman team to Virginia", Governor Northam said. However, Wiig has yet to be spotted on the Alexandria, Virginia set as of this writing. Wonder Woman would be too late to save J.R. from being shot, but she probably has more important things to do. Returning director Patty Jenkins co-wrote the script with Geoff Johns (who contributed to the original film's story).

Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled for release in Real D 3D and IMAX 3D on November 1, 2019. The costumes on the extras in the mall photo confirm it's also the year the film takes place (not to mention Steve himself rocking that black Members Only jacket).
