Here's Why Meghan Markle Was Not Front & Center at Balcony Debut

Meghan Markle is now officially part of The Royal Foundation, the main royal charity previously set up for Prince William, Kate Middleton and Meghan's husband, Prince Harry, to carry out their philanthropic work.

"There was no slight intended, but William being the older, more senior brother would go out first with his wife".

"[Meghan] was still in a good position". Yes, you read that correctly, and while-no surprises here-it is Meghan Markle, she is now a Duchess and did just make royal history. "And there were a lot of kids who everyone would want at the front".

Before her first moment on Buckingham Palace's balcony, she rode in a carriage with her husband Prince Harry and the Queen's cousin the Duke of Kent. The couple recently returned from their honeymoon after tying the knot on May 19.

Looking perfectly princess-ly in a pale pink off-the-shoulder gown and a sophisticated fascinator, her dark locks in polished waves at her shoulders, Markle attended the annual Trooping the Color event alongside her IRL Prince Charming.

McCartney, who created the second wedding dress for Ms Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, said she was "very proud" to have worked with the bride to tread the "delicate line" of appropriate attire.

The day started with a grand military parade and the arrivals of the royals via carriages.

According to the official Royal family website, the Queen will open the Mersey Gateway Bridge with Meghan.

Meanwhile, Harry is now sixth in line to the throne, but he'll eventually fall lower in the line of succession as William's heirs, Prince George, Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis have children. Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were also in attendance.

As per tradition, the royals all head to the balcony to wave and watch the pageantry.
