Laying out a plan it calls "More Roads to Harley-Davidson", the company expects to spend $675 million U.S. to $825 million United States over the next four years, looks to chop costs and generate more than $1 billion USA of incremental annual revenue in 2022.

The uniquely styled adventure bike, which is the first Harley Davidson of its kind, will be named the Pan America, and the company has some big plans for it.

The 115-year-old Milwaukee, Wis. -based company, known for its heavy touring motorcycles, is scrambling to revamp its operations as its mainstay customer base ages by tapping into younger buyers, particularly in Asia, by offering nimbler motorcycles with smaller engines.

Harley Davidson has announced that it will be launching a new adventure motorcycle, the Pan America, in 2020.

These new bikes are part of H-D's new modular platform of 500 cc to 1,250 cc middleweight motorcycles which it says spans three distinct product spaces and four displacements, supplemented by additional models up to 2022.

"We're going to be doubling down on existing products", Harley-Davidson CEO Matt Levatich told CNBC on Monday. The company will launch three new models in 2020 - an adventure motorcycle, a naked streetfighter, and a custom motorcycle. According to Harley Davidson, the bike will have a commanding riding position which will allow the rider to "see the world from another point of view", while having the ability to "travel coast-to-coast".

Harley has also been spending on product development and marketing, including promoting its learn-to-ride academies at showrooms and developing electric motorcycle technology.

New retail formats - including smaller, urban storefronts globally to expose the brand to urban populations and drive sales of the expanded Harley-Davidson product portfolio and expand worldwide apparel distribution.

Levatich said Harley-Davidson is an apolitical business.

It's promising to expand that line over the next few years. Who is the surprise partner of Harley-Davidson born from domestic stable and what impact will it make on the motorcycling landscape of India?
