Santi Cazorla relieved after avoiding foot amputation, signing for Villarreal

As such, an "illusionist" was employed along with a large glass tube full of dry ice, which was used to spirit Cazorla from thin air.

Santi Cazorla has often been described as a magician with a ball at his feet, so it was only right that an actual magician did the unveiling upon his return to Villarreal.

He has signed a one-year deal with the La Liga side having left Arsenal earlier this summer, with the playmaker's last official match for the Gunners coming against Ludogorets on October 19, 2016.

If the fans thought Manchester United's unveiling of Alexis Sanchez was unique (remember video showing Sanchez playing United's anthem on piano), Villarreal have clearly upped the ante in that department. After a while, as the smoke cleared, out came Santi Cazorla from inside the chamber.

The Spaniard spent six seasons at the Emirate stadium but parted ways with the club at the end of last season following an injury hit campaign.

Cazorla hung around after the stepping out of the glass cylinder to wave at the crowd and sign autographs.

The 33-year-old is then let out of his case to a rapturous applause by the waiting Villarreal public who are delighted to have one of their own back at the club.

"Today is a very special day for me because I return to what I consider to be my home", he said at a news conference, per Goal.

"How the president and the club do things here is an example to follow".
