Wolverhampton Wanderers have further kitted their squad out for their Premier League tilt by breaking their club transfer record to sign Adama Traore from Middlesbrough.

The 22-year-old completed his medical on Tuesday morning before signing a five-year deal at Molineux.

Traore told Wolves TV: "I am so happy, it's a great day for me, for my family".

"I hope the supporters understand both players in respect of their decisions to play in the Premier League".

Wolves finished top of the Championship table last campaign by nine points ahead of fellow promotion-winners Cardiff in second place with Fulham earning promotion via the play-offs.

He joined the club on a four-year deal from Aston Villa in 2016, having signed from Barcelona the year before.

He enjoyed a successful season last term, despite Middlesbrough falling short of a Premier League return in the playoffs, scoring five times and providing 10 assists.

Traore is Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo's fifth recruit of the transfer window and follows goalkeeper Rui Patricio, defender Jonny Castro Otto, midfielder Joao Moutinho and forward Raul Jimenez into the club. All tournaments Zinchenko has played 14 games and became the second Ukrainian victor of the Premier League after the former Arsenal defender Oleg Luzhny.
