Every now and then however, you have to try something new, and that's where the currently titled game (working title, may change before release), Town comes in.

The game was revealed as part of last night's Nintendo Direct, with a short glimpse of gameplay. The game was described as being "a new story in a village with a secret to hide". In Town, players need to strategize the best ways to fend off large, attacking monsters. From what we gather based on the very, very (very) limited information available about Town at this time, it appears that the game will utilize a kind of Suikoden-like party system.

This brand new RPG will place players int the shoes of an ordinary villager.

While Game Freak has mainly become known for its Pokemon games, it does make other titles, such as Pocket Card Jockey and the overlooked Tembo the Badass Elephant. What do you think of Towns?

Town is planned to release in 2018 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

More information is sure to come in the following months leading up to Towns release, now set for 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. They've done other games in the meantime, but none has proved anywhere near as popular as the games where you capture adorable innocent creatures and force them to do battle against each other.
