Ronaldo left out of Portugal squad amid rape allegations

"In the future, nothing will prevent Ronaldo from contributing to the team", Santos said at a news conference.

Ronaldo issued a statement on Wednesday in which he denied the claims, saying: "I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me".

"My clear conscious will thereby allow me to await with tranquility the results of any and all investigations", Ronaldo tweeted.

Las Vegas police confirmed to the Associated Press on Monday that they have reopened a sexual assault case from 2009 brought by the woman named in the lawsuit.

The Portuguese star, who should return to the Juve team for their Serie A clash at Udinese on Sunday, has once again denied the rape allegations made against him and insists that he has a clear conscience.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not play for Portugal's national soccer team in its next four matches, at Poland in UEFA Nations League play on October 11, a friendly against Scotland in Glasgow on October 14 and matches against Italy and Poland in UEFA Nations League play in November.

Ronaldo issued a vehement denial of the accusations on Twitter.

Lawyers for a Nevada woman who has accused Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her said a psychiatrist determined she suffers post-traumatic stress and depression because of the alleged 2009 attack in Las Vegas.

According to Mayorga, the Portuguese ace pulled her into a bedroom and anally raped her while she was changing, as she shouted "no, no, no". They did not respond to specific questions about the content of the Der Spiegel report.

In her lawsuit, Mayorga says she later accepted a $375,000 payment in exchange for her silence - but now, she wants that agreement voided.

Mayorga did not answer telephone calls to her home, Reuters reported.

This will be the second successive global break that Ronaldo will play no part in.

The Portuguese striker, a married father of four, left Real Madrid this year to join Juventus for 100 million euros ($117 million).
